Newtletter 28th February 2019

Huge thanks to all the wonderful grandparents and parents who came in to support our ‘Positively Different Week’ – wow what a week.

We have handled scorpions, stroked shire horses, played on a 100 year old bus, wowed at a £100,000 tractor, bird watched, orienteered, sung – lots, spoken to our PCSOs, tasted world foods, Been to Manchester and Liverpool, shot arrows, built bird boxes, decided ourselves that we are part of Europe – Brexit or not and loved our learning!

Huge thanks to Agricultural Machinery of Nantwich for the loan of Andy and the tractor, Mr Hadfield for the Archery lessons, Mrs Ford for bringing the shires, Simon Airey from Corner Exotics for the amazing animal show, Mr Simon Emerton of Emerton Roofing for bringing the bus and to Mrs Costa, Mrs Maumy and Mr Greasby for planning all the events on International Day and to all the staff in the way that despite all the illness they have just kept smiling and powered through.

Building Update

I am very aware we have the best children and best parents but the end of last week absolutely proved the power of working together. Thanks to a number of very generous donations, a little extra money from the Chancellor of the Exchequer and the PTA, we placed the order for the £18,000 doors so the hall can be a brilliant learning space. It has been a hard won fund and we still have to find £3,000 for a new audio visual set up but it is amazing what we have achieved. Please keep supporting us – every penny be it from Race Night. Bingo, Raffles, Football Tickets, marmalade or simply donations we are given is put to the benefit of every child.
