Red Class Newsletter 27.04.19

Dear Parents,

We have had super week learning about farm animals.  The children have carried out a range of activities and have enjoyed the sunny weather too.  We have had animal hunts, writing, sand and water play, farm role-play, painting, playdough, matching sheets, numbers and more..

The children got to experiment with ‘marbling’ this week and created their very own Easter Egg – see if they can explain what they had to do.

 

Over the next couple of weeks we will be carrying on with some farm activities but also introducing some ‘mini-beasts’ too.  As well as having 12 eggs in the class, we now have a bowl of tadpoles and 5 caterpillars to look after.  So we will be taking a closer look at these and learning more about them.  We will be reading a range of books such as ‘What the ladybird heard’, ‘The Hungry Caterpillar’ and ‘The Teeny Weeny Tadpole’.

Forest school will be on Monday and we are going on a bug hunt! P.E will continue on a Tuesday, please come dressed in PE kits ready, send school uniform in a bag in case we decide to change after. 

You should have all received home learning for the next 4 weeks and new spellings for next Friday.  Please remember to send in library books too on a Friday if you want them changing.

Blue Planet – you should all have received a letter regarding this.  Please return slip asap so we can get sorted.  We are really looking forward to this!
