Red Class Newsletter 26.04.18

Dear Parents,

We have had a lovely week, starting off by reading ‘The Fish Who Could Wish’. The children have been practising writing sentences daily about fish. We have been counting out objects and matching these to the correct numeral, making our very own bottle fish, drawing shells, learning facts about fish and we re-planted our tyres with wild flowers!

I cannot tell you how pleased we are with the children’s reading. All of this extra reading we are managing to squeeze in with the help from our extra adults is making a big difference and to all of you at home too. Well done children, keep it up!

Today we had a visit from Mrs Swan, I have worked with her for many years and she is absolutely brilliant. She now works with ‘Love Music Trust’ and we have got x6 one hour sessions booked in, to learn a range of songs all about Barney and his adventures! The children had a great time learning some new songs this morning and the really exciting part is, we will be holding a concert at school to show you all in a few weeks time (date to be confirmed).

Next week we will be learning about ‘Whales’. The children will hopefully learn the concept about the size of some whales, experiment with water colours, write facts and lots more…

In forest school we will be practising how to tie knots using cord, as well as exploring our forest area.

In P.E the children are learning a range of games and enjoying being out on the field too.

Thank you for your continued support,

Mrs Newman and Red Team
