Home Learning

We have exciting news – Marley is now a big sister to an absolutely beautiful baby brother. We wish the family all of our love and can’t wait to meet him!

We have been busy finding about about Hedgehogs this week. Thank you for the home learning. The children have written all about hedgehogs and made their very own fact file, they have also made a hedgehog out of clay.

We have all logged on to Doodlemaths this week and it has been a great success. Thank you to everyone who have already started this at home (I know who you are!). The children have thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s a really fun way of learning ‘maths’. If you haven’t already done this at home, then please do, as it’s good fun and can be done within a few minutes every day. However, some children spent ages on it today – I couldn’t stop them from answering more questions and earning doodle stars!

Next week we are planning work around the ‘Stickman’ and for those parents who have signed up to come in on Wednesday morning for our ‘Stay and Play’ morning are in for a treat. We will be making our very own stick men and women, painting with sticks, measuring and ordering sticks, making a list of what we have collected in our scavenger bags and lots more! (make sure you bring your wellies and a coat)

Forest school will be on Monday and PE on Tuesday. We have planned an Easter Egg hunt on Thursday with the year 6 buddies (this is still a secret from the children) and we will also be learning about why we celebrate Easter.

At home this week, please read with your child, practise tricky words and go on Doodlemaths.

Kind regards,

Mrs Newman and Red Team
