Red Class newsletter 23.03.18

Date: 23rd Mar 2018 @ 12:36pm

Dear Parents,

Well, what an amazing assembly that was!  I was so amazed by how well they spoke in front of all of those people.  Absolutely fabulous - I am very proud of every single one of them.  It's not easy standing up there and speaking - trust me, even I still get very nervous.

As well as learning parts for our assembly, we have been busy making bird feeders and spotting birds in our outside area.  Writing about what owls can do, doubling and halving using owls, making owl collages, Easter baking and much more.

Next week, we will carrying out activities around Easter.  During forest schools on Monday we will be having an Easter Egg Hunt.  Tuesday they will be playing Easter bingo.  As well as writing about Easter, maths with an Easter twist, and much more…

Over the holidays can you please keep up with the reading, we will send extra books home and we will also be attaching a slip into their reading diaries.  This slip will contain the phase 3 sounds and tricky words that your son/daughter needs to work on after an assessment we have carried out.  This will help with their reading and writing so it is really important you help at home to reinforce these please.

We are already getting really excited about next terms learning - We will be looking at 'Under the Sea' and we have so many amazing ideas to help inspire and enthuse your child's learning through this topic.  I will tell you more in the next newsletter!

Have a lovely weekend,

Mrs Newman and Red Team
