Red Class Newsletter 16.06.17

Dear Parents,

This week we have been watching our new little friends, the caterpillars grow! They have doubled in size and haven’t stopped eating. We have read the story ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar, both in English and French! (Thanks to Mrs Leydon, our French teacher)

Next week, we have the new starter children visiting on Wednesday and Thursday. So Red class will be having 2 forest school days with Mr and Mrs Hadfield and the Year 6 children, they have lots of exciting activities planned for them. So please send them in on both days in own clothes.

We will be practising our ‘Sports Day’ races on Monday, don’t forget sports day is on Friday 30th June at 9:30am.

We will be continuing to read the hungry caterpillar next week and re-writing the story in our own words, they will also be looking at a range of 3D shapes, naming them and describing the properties of each.

Please keep up with the reading at home, counting, adding and subtracting using numbers to 20. This really helps at school.

Have a lovely SUNNY weekend,

Mrs Newman and Red team
