Red class newsletter 15.03.18

Date: 15th Mar 2018 @ 10:16pm

Dear Parents,

We have had a full week of fun learning around 'Brown Bear, Brown Bear'.  The children have been busy writing lists of what they found outside, writing about their favourite teddy bear, adding and subtracting bears, using 10s grids, making clay bears (see FB for photos) and lots more.
Next week and the week after we will be looking at the book 'Owl Babies' and learning all about Easter.  As well as assessing where the children are up to.  We will be reading the story, acting it out, writing words to describe what owls are, have and can do. As well as making owl collages, painting owls and more.

Our class assembly is on Friday 23rd March at 10am - all welcome to come and support.  We will be showing you some of what we have been up to.  We are very excited!

Home Learning - please please can you go over the phase 3 sounds and tricky words over the next few weeks.  If your child knows these confidently then see if they can use them in their writing too.  Keep up with the reading.  Thank you for your continued support with the home learning tasks.  Once I have looked and stamped it, please take out of the bag until you have completed a new task as this has saved me so much time this week.

Have a lovely weekend
