Red Class Newsletter 11.05.18

Date: 11th May 2018 @ 2:32pm

Dear Parents, well it might have been a short week, but we have been learning soooooo much about sharks!  The children have filled in fact sheets, drawn a shark, labelled it and painted using water colours, they have made their own shark's tooth, counted shark's teeth and added these together to find the total and learned so many facts too!
Next week - We will be reading a range of 'The Lighthouse Keeper's' books.  We will be tieing ropes to trees to see if we can get Mr Grinling's basket to move along, writing instructions on how to make sandwiches, making sandwiches, using 2d shapes to make lighthouses, building lighthouses with blocks, and more......
Please can you send in any empty pringle tubes into school for the week after when we will make our very own lighthouse, any egg cartons will help too!
Our visit to The Blue Planet is on Wednesday.  We are really excited, as we are hoping to see and learn lots more about life under the sea.  Please ensure children are wearing uniform and if they are bringing their own packed lunch please put in a disposable bag.  Still send water bottles and snack with names on.  We are aiming to be back for the end of the school day, if this happens to change due to traffic we will let you kow via the texting system.
Have a lovely weekend,
Mrs Newman and Red Team
