Red Class Newsletter

Dear Parents,

The children have had a wonderful week learning all about Spiders. They have read stories and rhymes about spiders, written facts about them, played a number game relating to pipes and spiders, made a moving spider up a drainpipe and much more!

Mrs Yeomans and I have been out visiting the new children in their nursery settings this week. But the children have still been working as hard as ever with Mrs Jenkins and Mrs Cliff. It really does go to show how they have all matured over the year when you visit the new ones.

I hope you were all impressed by the beanstalks, which came home on Friday. The children should be able to tell you what they need to grow!

This week we will be reading ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ and have 10 little caterpillars to care for in class. We will be giving them names and will be watching them grow over the next few weeks and learn all about the lifecycle. Finally, releasing the beautiful butterflies into our forest school area. We have lots of exciting activities planned around this book for the week.

No home learning was given this week, but look out this week for some more!

Have a lovely weekend,

Mrs Newman and Red team
