Red class newsletter 05.05.17

Date: 5th May 2017 @ 11:24am

Dear Parents,

Well what a lovely sunny week we have had in Red class. We have done even more work around Jasper’s beanstalk and Jack and the beanstalk. The children have independently written a sentence or a story starter about Jack, we have been practising the days of the week song and have painted a fabulous picture of Jasper!

Next week, as well as all the reading, writing, PE, forest school, we are having a huge focus on MATHS. Maths as in numbers and shape/space and measure will be all over Red class. Everywhere you turn you will be surrounded with it. I am hoping we are going to have a fun packed week learning lots!

PE will be on Monday and Forest school on Tuesday.

We are also having a session on PANTS – NSPCC. We need to let you know we are teaching this in school and you will also receive a leaflet to go through at home. It will be taught very carefully and discreetly. But the children DO need to know about this. Any problems – come and see me or send me an email.

Mystery Readers – We have gone really quiet, if anyone would like to come in or come in again you are more than welcome to. Pick a day and let me know!

Home Learning – please practise the days of the week. See if the children can sing you the song.

Fingers crossed the sunshine stays for the weekend,
