Yellow Class Newsletter

16th June 2016

Our first ten days back have flown by!  Everyone did so well at Sports Day.  I was really proud of the way they all joined in with such a positive attitude.  Well done to all!

In English we have been writing about our experiences in Yellow Class.  It was nice to hear about all the different highlights and memories the children have – not always the things you would expect!

In maths we have been looking at handling data: thinking of questions to investigate, collecting data, drawing graphs and asking and answering questions.

We have also been finding out more about the moon ready for our trip next week and working on our artwork for Schoolsfest on 2nd July.

It is Sports Week next week. We will send PE kits home so that they can come in their kit all week (except Tuesday).  We will be involved in Race for Life, a Tae Kwon Do session, PE sessions and a bid to complete our Run2Rio challenge!

Tuesday 21st – Trip to Jodrell Bank.  Children are to wear full uniform.  Please remember a coat or jacket.  Packed lunches need to be in a disposable bag with their name on. We should be back by 3.15 but this will obviously depend on traffic.

A few dates for your diaries

Friday 17th June – Last Swimming session

Tuesdays - 28th June and 12th July - Forest Schools

Tuesday 5th July – Milldale – Please let me know if you are able to come along and help
