Home learning Monday 18th July

Dear all,

Another year draws to a close and the time has just flown by. Highlights of the year have to be the residential to York, all the books we have read (Skyhawk, Beowulf and Gangsta Granny), the African dance and performing King Lear at the Royal Exchange along with all the fabulous learning we’ve done too J

Don’t forget the summer reading challenge that was in the report envelope; let’s see how many books we can read between us. I know I’m very much looking forward to loading up my Kindle ready for my holiday too.

Sadly, not only will we say goodbye to Ms Hennessy-Jones, Mrs Swan, Mr Frankland, Mr Waterworth and Mrs Brereton on Tuesday, we also say goodbye to Pru. I’m sure you will all join with me in wishing her well as she sets off on her Parisian adventure. Keep in touch with us please Pru J

Tomorrow the big clean up starts and your child will need a sturdy carrier bag (a bag for life should do it) so they can bring home their books, all those missing jumpers and their PE kits. I need to keep the work of 6 children in school so if your child is one of those children please can they return their books in September; I’ll put a note on the books which need returning. They all need their brass instruments in school on Tuesday for our music concert for Ms Hennessy Jones. After the concert all the instruments will stay in school so that they can go back to Music for Life.

And finally, a big thank you for all your help and support over the year. It is an absolute privilege to be teaching your children again next year and I can’t wait to get started. In the meantime have a fabulous summer and I will see you all in September.

Kind regards,

Ruth Hadfield
