Home learning Friday 29th January

Dear all,

Thank you for all the fabulous Viking ships that arrived in school this week. Next week we will spend the time discussing, sharing and learning from them. They look incredible so thank you for your support with this task.

We had great fun reading Tuesday by David Wiesner this week. It made us all laugh with its quirky storyline. We’re using this book to help us write a detective’s report linked to the Vikings. Yesterday we really enjoyed music with Mrs Minshall where we played percussion instruments in our Samba lesson. We all had to concentrate very hard to keep to the beat, including me!

Home learning this week is to practise translation that we have been working on in maths and using commas in English.

Next week Indigo Class look forward to more play leader training at lunchtime on Tuesday and they have a visit from the fire service on Thursday afternoon.

I’m off to York on Saturday to complete the risk assessment for our residential so will be able to finalise the itinerary once I’ve visited all the places we intend to visit.

Have a lovely weekend,

Kind regards,

Ruth Hadfield
