Home learning Friday 17th June

Dear all,

First of all can I just say how fabulous your children were on Tuesday at the Royal Exchange. I need to say thank you for all your hard work with them, helping them learn their lines, getting them to school for 7.15am in the morning, and for collecting them after two long days in Manchester. Without your support these things wouldn’t be possible and your help is very much appreciated.

We sent them home in their lilac t-shirts on Tuesday but could we have them back please? The children need to wear them for the summer performance on Tuesday 12th July. We will then send them home for you to keep. Could I ask you to write your child’s name on the label and then we can match t-shirt to child too.

Home learning this week is linked to the work we’ve done on angles in maths. The first part is on MyMaths and the second part is a written task. I’m sending them home with squared paper to help to present it neatly too. I will also post two videos on Edmodo to serve as a reminder if they become unsure.

Please don’t forget to complete the 50 things to do list, they are so important too.

Next week is sports week and we will be as active as possible all week. Please can all children have a full PE kit with them every day.

As a school we have also signed up for Race for Life and weather permitting we plan to run this on Thursday afternoon. This is a sponsored event and the link to the JustGiving page is on the newtletter this week.

On Friday afternoon we’re heading over to Millfields for a sports day with other Nantwich schools. If you’d like to join us please let me know.

Another busy week lies ahead.

Have a lovely weekend,

Ruth Hadfield
