Home learning letter 13.5.16

Dear all,

This week we’ve really got to grips with King Lear, we’ve looked at the storm scene and explored it through movement, words and poetry. We’ve also made tin foil headdresses to depict the cruelness of Goneril and Regan (King Lear’s daughters). It’s been lovely having all the space in the hall to spread out and perform but it is so nice to be back in our classroom now the SATS are done with J

Thank you to everyone who completed the MyMaths homework last week and also who took the quiz on Edmodo, it certainly made a difference in class. This week there is some work on decimals looking at addition and subtraction. There will also be some video clips on Edmodo to help with this too. I’ve added in some practice of using speech marks for English homework this week as well. I’ve included lined paper to write on so please encourage neat handwriting and presentation.

Today you will receive a letter about our King Lear performance, I am very much looking forward to it and hope you are too.

Indigo Class now know who their buddy will be for next year and next week we will finish writing their letters to them. They are all really excited about this responsibility J

Have a lovely weekend,

Kind regards,

Ruth Hadfield
