Summer Term No 3

What a fantastic residential.  There were some truly magical moments.  The weather was glorious – big skies, sunshine but a cold bracing wind.  Sunlight glinted on the waters of the bay and spring flowers braved the cold.  We had views across the Menai Straights to the snow covered mountains of Snowdonia.  The instructors were impressed with our children – the way they worked together and got stuck into the challenging activities.  The children were well behaved and made us proud.  Your child will have told you that they didn’t sleep and were awake all night – not true!  At lights out, they all settled well and it wasn’t long before the snores and deep breathing began.  Even those who felt unwell got a good night’s sleep.  I think it must have been the best group that I’ve taken away.  They faffed getting ready and organised though!  We all ate well with hearty appetites from the bracing air.  We had a great team of helpers – Mrs. Maumy, Mrs. Hadfield, Lee Webster and Patrick Scott – thank you for all your hard work.  We were all tired, but it was well worth it.  A truly enjoyable experience for all. I hope you liked the text message updates.  The WiFi signal wasn’t strong enough where we were to post pictures on Face Book.  I have hundreds of pictures that I need to sort and will begin posting them on the website soon.

Congratulations to Patrick Scott, our first year student.  He is now halfway through his teaching practise and it’s going really well.

We finished this wonderful week with a visit from three Buddhist monks from Srl Lanka.  The children, already engaged from researching Buddhism, asked insightful questions.  I felt so proud of the respect that the children showed to our visitors.  The monks left us feeling at peace.

‘phone school or just pop in.
