Dear Children, Parents and Carers,

We have been continuing our work on developing our sentence writing.  As we ask the children to think more about the content of their writing they need to spend more time checking their work once they’ve finished.

Radio 2 have launched their 500 Word story writing competition.  There’s now a category for children aged 5-9 to enter and there’ll be an inter house competition taking place in school too! There’s lots of information and activities on the website.

We have been developing our understanding of division through practical experiences. This is a concept that children sometimes find difficult so they need lots of practice!

The post has continued to come in this week with letters from Australia and

The Czech Republic.

I our artwork we are looking at the work of Paul Klee – using a variety of materials to create patterns of rectangles as seen in his work.

PE – this is still on a Tuesday and Wednesday.  Please make sure they have a full kit in school all week.

Outdoor learning is next week on Wednesday 10th February. Please make sure your children come into school in suitable outdoor clothing on those dates and have waterproofs and suitable footwear.

Our class assembly is this week – Friday 5th February at 10 am.

Please catch me at drop-off, collection or email if you need to contact me.
