Red Class Newsletter 29.03.19

Date: 29th Mar 2019 @ 8:42am

Dear Parents,

Well, that’s the Spring term finished with! I cannot believe how fast this year is flying by.  Onwards and upwards like they say.  The children have made incredible progress with all areas of the curriculum and we are so proud of them.

Home Learning – We have sent extra books home for the holidays, but they do deserve a well-earned break.  But if you have a burning desire to do some work, why not – play on doodle maths, or get the children to keep a diary or get them to write about a trip they have been on and we will share these in class first day back.

Summer Term – we will be going on our train journey to Wrenbury – we were just waiting for nicer weather.  So look out for more details about this.

We have told the children about our new topic now.  This will be ‘Animal Magic’.  We will be looking at pets, farm, wild/zoo, mini-beasts and under the sea.  We have a trip or two hidden under our belts and lots of exciting activities planned around this.  Our role-play area is being turned into a Vets surgery, so that the children can care for the poorly animals.  The hot air balloon reading corner will turn into a hide where the children can read books all about animals whilst keeping a close eye on what is approaching.  It’s all very exciting and we cannot wait to get started!

So look out for the newsletter before we return telling you lots more, PE and forest school days etc.

Have a lovely 2 week break and will look forward to the return of your children.

Kind regards,

Mrs Newman and Red Team
