Summer Term No 2

The children are really excited by going away next week.  It’s going to be a fun packed three days - and nights.  Most children love being away.  It’s usually in the evening when tiredness hits that you get just one or two chin wobbles. . . and that’s just the staff.  It’s hard work, but we love taking the children away to share these wonderful experiences.

Just a few reminders for Monday.  It quite likely to be cold though hopefully we’ll escape the rain so please pack hats and gloves, warm layers and a waterproof (for the evening).  The children will wear full waterproofs issued by the centre during activities.  They will need indoor footwear, trainers for out and about plus boots / wellies for activities.  Bring a rucksack with a packed lunch and a water bottle.

On Monday morning, drop bags off at the front of the school.  There will be a box for collecting the snack contributions.  Hand in all medicines complete with form and simple explanation to myself or Mrs. Maumy.

The children will then go into school as usual for registration loo visits whilst the coach is loaded.

The phone signal at the centre is patchy and the WiFi only works in the main building.  We will inform the school when we arrive so that you can be texted.  Again, we will inform the school about a return by time.  During the residential, it’s going to be full on and we’ll be busy.  When there is time and I am covered, I will send a text or put a posting on Face Book.

We’ll get on the coach around 9:00 and expect to be off for 9:15.  You are welcome to stay and wave.  No tears now – you’ll set them off.

‘phone school or just pop in.
